Mexican President’s Reputation Takes A Further Dive Thanks To Reports About A Luxury Home

The news of the brutal killings further fueled public outrage over the government’s delay in solving the case. Thousands of mostly peaceful demonstrators took to the streets in Mexico City and towns in Guerrero, including Acapulco, a major tourist destination, to demand the safe return of the students and Peña Nieto’s resignation. In Mexico City a small group of what appeared to be masked anarchist provocateurs set fire to the main door of Palacio Nacional, the government palace used mainly for ceremonial events.
