Living under the pretext of cis-manhood was Grace’s primary struggle, but she didn’t fit in with the anarchists or the sellouts, either. While publically and privately beleaguered with categorizations and expectations throughout Tranny, Grace never crumbles into the caricature of a self-pitying, tortured rock star. Her stated distaste for vainglory and coauthor Dan Ozzi’s sensibilities as a veteran web editor present a slice of the human experience most of us can’t directly access as a conversational matter of fact.
